- Preheat oven as shown below. Higher elevations may require a higher temperature. Remember - OVENS WILL VARY...so adjust your temperature and cooking times.
Convection Oven - 325-350°
Rack Oven - 340°
Conventional Oven - 375°
- Remove frozen scones from bag. Set the enclosed container of sugar or glaze aside. Allow the glaze tub to thaw during baking. Glaze may be kept in refrigerator. Keep Scones Frozen!
- Place frozen scones onto a parchment-lined, un-greased baking sheet - evenly spaced. FOR BEST RESULTS, BAKE SCONES FROZEN- DO NOT THAW! (Tip: Each oven is different, so if scones are not rising properly- i.e., a hard shell is forming and they flop over - try THAWING scones before baking. Or, if scones are spreading out and baking flat, try baking at a slightly higher temperature.)
- For Wild Blueberry, sprinkle the enclosed raw sugar packets on top of the scones - enough to coat the top side of the scone - BEFORE baking - this will give the scone a nice texture.
- Bake scones until golden brown and firm to the touch - APPROXIMATELY 15-18 MINUTES. Baking times will vary. Higher elevations will have a different cooking time. Remember, the scones will continue to cook even after being removed from the oven!
- Pull scones out of the oven and set them aside to cool for several minutes.
- For GLAZED scones, if the thawed glaze has separated, stir glaze until remixed. Microwave glaze briefly to warm if necessary. After scones are baked, scoop thawed glaze (about 1/4 ounce per scone) on top of the warm scones. Each glaze container glazes 12 2-ounce scones. Serve scones immediately.
